"Rewards Points system has been "
Tried to redeem points for prepaid airtime on July 24th and got an error message. Contacted Customer Service and was told that they don't have a time estimate for when it will be fixed. That was a month ago. They charge $0.95 each time you call in so they actually make money when you call in to see why the problem still isn't fixed.

How can you offer a "Rewards" credit card when the Rewards Redemption is actually broken? Shouldn't their main website actually have a disclaimer saying that the points redemption system is actually broken and they have no idea when it will be fixed?

 
Most attractive feature: Easy to load via wire transfer. Send $10k and they'll apply it over 4 days at $2.5k a day
Least attractive feature: Customer Service is ridiculously poor.

"my experience with wired plastic."
I''''ve been a customer with wired plastic since January of 2007 simply because my former bank refused to issue me another debit card and I hated relying on the bank being open to get to my money. I also didn''''t like the high fees with my former bank. Things were great when I first got the card. My card was issued through centennial bank instead of bankfirst so I was one of the lucky ones and I don''''t have to pay the monthly fee like most other wired plastic customers do. I have some complaints about this card though. In July last year there were double transactions happening on my card and it resulted in me having a negative balance. It took the incompetent representatives a week to finally fix the problem. My second complaint is that when your card is nearing it''''s expiration date you will get calls from people calling with blocked numbers offering you gas cards and other things. Me being visually impaired and not being able to drive, gas cards are useless to me. So this company will give out your number without your consent. Another complaint is I had to call customer support 7 times for them to issue me a new card because they would say they placed my order but didn''''t. So I nearly ended up not being able to get to my money because of these people. My final complaint is I was suppose to move yesterday but because wired plastic wouldn''''t fax over my six month average income to the place I was moving to I had to renew my move out notice because of that. Now there is a loophole to not paying the 95 cents for calling customer service. All you have to do is press 0 right from the start menu on the phone instead of putting in the last 4 digits of card number and phone password then pressing 0 once your in your account over the phone. Yes they ask for the whole card number and other info instead of just your last 4 of the card number but hey if it saves a dollar then it''''s worth it.
 
Most attractive feature: Free direct deposit, Sweet benefits if you already have a prepaid phone.
Least attractive feature: Less than average customer support.

"DECLINED"
DECLINED!!! 6 major airlines in 4 countries, DECLINE this card regardless of funds available. upon time of transaction attempts, my balance was just under $3,000.00, the airline tickets i wanted cost only $179.00, from manila, phi, to macau, china. Singapore air, Tiger airways, Philippine Air, cathay pacific, (to name a few) all declined this card, and cant explain why, just say "card declined sir".
 
Most attractive feature: Easy to load, and customer service is okay
Least attractive feature: DECLINED!!! 6 major airlines in 4 countries, DECLINE this card

"I love my Wired Plastic card"
I have had my Card now for 6mos and I LOVE IT. no worry and hassles I loaded it weekly and never have had a issue where i couldn't spend all of the money on it example yesterday i had 18.17 on it i spent 18.00 at the grocery store not one problem with it. i never had a problem with customer service i had a authorization on my account that the bill collector never process after 15 days it was return to me 258.00 that i got back.i love how it will text you when you use it, and also i have never had a problem with there online service. thanks wired plastic for having such a great card

"Very Good Card"
Overall I am extremely happy with this card. I've had it for just over a year now. I love the text message alerts feature which tells me my balance every morning and notifies me every time a transaction is posted to my account (sometimes I get the text before I even finish signing my name!!). Wired Plastic also has an outstanding online banking site where I can pay most all of my monthly bills electronically. Their Customer Service Reps are always very pleasant, helpful, and informative when you call. My one BIG complaint is that they charge for more than three calls, however, the online customer service feature doesn't work so there is no alternative. I have written and called repeatedly to tell them that it doesn't work, but it still has not been fixed. The good news is that the card and service is overall so dependable that I have rarely needed to call. I have recommended this card to all my friends. Even if you already have a bank account, Wired Plastic makes a great second account, travelling card, or online shopping card.

"All the fun of a credit card, without the "credit" score..."
I titled this accordingly. I have good credit. I make enough to have a platinum card. But you know what? I don't have a bank account. $57.00 a year is what you will pay for this card.... bounce 2 cheques at the bank and you're in deeper than that....

$50.00 transaction holds at gas pumps are normal. As someone aformentioned, get off your duff and go in and pay for it when you're done. It's not like Americans can't use the excersize. ;)

I do not like the $2500.00 limit that you have on daily deposits though. There has been more than one occasion where I needed to deposit two times that, and it's a hassle.

Customer Service isn't awfully helpful. but come on... think of what kind of clientelle they have to deal with everyday. Morons who can't budget their money, and like to blame other people for their problems.

I can tell you from experience, you make money by being smart with your finances... a card like this won't let you spend money you don't have... GOOD MOVE!!!

"What good is a pin number"
Ok not to long ago I used my card at a local 7-11 I put in my pin and it was denied I put it in again denied well I had changed my pin a couple of months ago and I thought i might have the old one mixed up with the new one so I used the what i thought was the old one and later was proven true well 7-11 doesnt give cash back and i needed it so I went right down to the bank about 6 minutes away and i used my old pin it says denied i tried it again thinking i was totally confused now denied well i then put in what i thought was my new pin and was proven true I used a old pin when i should have used a new one and then 6 minutes later couldnt use my old one had to use my new one. Made me feel real safe about my card. Well of course there showed transactions on my card to places i never heard of. And they are now under investigation. The messed up thing is every time the card was denied wired charged me 95 cents each time also wired plastic charges their own withdrawl fee so when u go to a atm and withdrawl money you get charged a fee by wired and also by the bank transaction fee. When talked to customer service they had many excuses why or how this could have happened they also stated that i was at certain locations and took out money and i have never even been there. So i am desputing a lot of these but this process can take up to 90 days or more so all this money (mine) is tied up until they figure out they are very wrong and the only thing i will get is the money that was always mine<

Least attractive feature: very very unorganized there is a fee for everything

"Wired Plastic"
I just finished reading other customers review and I do not understand. This card has done everything it advertises. It is easy to load and the fees are so much lower than other pre paid cards. I would reccomend this card to anyone.

"Pitiful Customer Service"
I've been a card-holder for more than 4 years and I lose all battles when it comes to customer service. I pay the monthly fee's, ATM fee's and ATM fees when they don't give me money from the ATM, they always get their's. Customer service tranactions are in the favor of "Who-ever" has taken money from your account. The customer/client has no weight in what is charged from the account. I have called in immediatly after a cancelled transaction and it may take 30 days and it has been at times 60 days before the transaction has been corrected. They care very little about their customer support base. I don't know were the hate for the customer comes from unless it's that fact that most of them has marginal credit standings and they feel that they also need to make it just a little harder on them. The Reward program is limited to pre-paid cell phone cards and it's a joke. If you want more laughs try to get "Customer Support via the Website, I think they set it up like that just to tease you.

I've been battling with this company since 11/05. A fradulent transaction was made on my account and they DO NOTHING to rectify your problems!!!!
